Gretchen Gammell is an exciting, emerging artist based in Portland. She studied painting at the Oregon College of Arts and Crafts, and completed her degree in 2003. Gammell's professional career immediately launched with a number of local and international exhibitions; including winning a prestigious commission for the Vance Hotel in Seattle, Washington.

Gammell is a highly prolific, individualistic artist. Her works are fresh and edgy that convey a sincerity of experience. She is not shy about colour, and bravely attacks her canvases with bold graphite line work. Gammell also confidently switches between abstraction and figurative genres. Her works are found in corporate and private collections throughout Europe, the Americas, Asia and Australia.
