At the quiet entrance to Coal Harbour stood a mighty Catalpa tree. Its grand colour and shape stood out on the horizon, guiding home many rowers, such as Vancouver visual artist Tiko Kerr. The wind storms of 2006, which devastated Stanley Park, uprooted this tree leaving a gap on the horizon. The story of this tree, what Kerr would later identify as his Lazarus Tree, serves as the centrepiece of his latest exhibit at the Winsor Gallery.
