Symphony Hexocubes Shape Shift Parachutes Automatic Rain Drop Into the Apex

Winsor Gallery presents an engaging selection of works by Winsor Gallery artists. Also featured are new works by recent Emily Carr University graduate Chad Durnford. Chad’s colourful and carefully constructed paintings act as meditations on structure, opening up new possibilities of looking at space. Through Chad’s spatial interpretations he translates an abstract language of structure that can be approached formally as a model or expression. In his newest works, he assembles modulations of basic shapes and space, idealizing the complexity and subtleness of form and tonality.

ECUAD provides a dynamic studio-based environment to acquire the knowledge, skills and critical perspective to succeed as a professional artist or designer. Winsor Gallery is proud to partner with ECUAD and its graduating class by exhibiting selected works from graduates winning awards this year.

The 2010 jury panel included past Emily Carr graduates Kathleen Ritter, Assistant Curator at the Vancouver Art Gallery, artist Mark Soo and Rod Roodenburg, co-founder of ION Design and the 2008-2010 President of the Society of Graphic Designers of Canada. Winsor Gallery is committed to supporting its local community of emerging artists and is excited to share these fresh, original and inventive works with you.
