From July 23, Winsor Gallery presents an engaging selection of works by Winsor Gallery artists. Also featured are new works by recent Emily Carr University graduate Kathy Zhang. Her current, large-scale paintings address ideological and historical decadence, conjuring romantic ideals of status and opulence. Images sourced from publications such as World of Interiors, Architectural Digest, and House and Home are among her main inspirations. Her work plays between the boundaries of the believable and the absurd, often disrupting logical elements within the picture plane, creating surreal, nonsensical or often fantastic illusions.
